The other day my girlfriend Natalie and I were discussing items that women should always have in their purse when going out with a guy — you know, just in case you decide not to go home… If you’re like me, you usually travel with a mid to smaller sized cross body bag or clutch when out on the weekends, so we have to be strategic. Here are some purse / wallet friendly beauty must-have items I’d recommend keeping on hand whether you crash at a girlfriend’s place or with the new guy you’re seeing.
Wisp Travel Toothbrush ($3.47 for a pack of 24)
Natalie said this is her go to, they’re super small but do just the trick. They double as a floss and tooth brush to keep your breath smelling super fresh the next morning.
CLEAN Rain Rollerball ($26.50)
I once received this as a small party favor over the holidays one year and I absolutely love the scent. It’s long lasting and since it’s in roller ball form can fit easily into your purse or clutch for a quick re-fresh.
Sephora Express Cleansing Wipes ($6.00)
I like to be considerate when sleeping over someone else’s and know I’d hate to see a smudge of makeup all over my pillowcases. Therefore I try to always travel with makeup cleansing wipes handy. Since the whole pack may take up a bit of space in my purse, I usually pull out one or two wipes and put them into a mini ziplock bag, then fold it down flatly in my bag.
Swipe Fresh Travel Deodorant ($2.99 for a pack of 3)
I’ve mentioned this product previously in a whole dedicated post here, its literally a life saver. No one has space to put a stick of deodorant in their clutch, not even the travel size so this is the perfect alternative. Swipe Fresh is a single use deodorant wipe that instantly provides freshness.
Milk Makeup Sunshine Oil ($38)
I got this oil as a sample in one of my old Birchboxes and absolutely love it. It rolls on easily to hydrate and brighten your face and entire body giving a fresh glow the next day.

Full disclosure, I did everything in my power to NOT call this post “Hoe-on-the-go Bag Must-Haves.” Hahaha! What are some items you can’t leave home without on weekends?
