Wild Eye Shadow + Lip Color Inspiration for a Night Out!

Now, you all know I prefer a natural looking beat with not too many frills, however, I’ll be headed to Las Vegas at the end of this week for my girl Natalie’s birthday and well—when in Vegas! The trip inspired me to dust off my eye shadow palettes and put together some fun looks for the upcoming festivities in Sin City.

On it’s own, eye shadow can alter your entire look so when wearing it — you have to do so with intention. Why not make a statement? For each of these looks I decided to wear the same exact foundation, concealer, blush etc and only switch up my eye shadow and lip color, that way the difference would be more apparent. So whether you’re traveling to Las Vegas, Miami, Ibiza or just want to do something a bit more daring this upcoming Friday night — here’s some inspiration to get you going!

Pop of Color

Let’s be real, if not done right, colored eye shadow can be a bit much. The best way to incorporate color is to blend it in with a neutral base color on the ends and in the crease. Also, don’t be afraid to put on a colorful lip as well, I usually find it best to pair complimentary colors.

Lipstick: Liquid Courage Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Blackberry ($20), Eyeshadow: black|Up Mono Eye Shadow in OAP15 ($12.60), Black Opal Color Splurge Eyeshadow Duo in Dusky Glow ($7)

Straight Shimmer

Generally if I do an eye shadow look this is my go-to. A subtle shimmer brightens the eye and goes well with boldly colored outfits and pastels. This look easily translates from a day-party to dinner and a night out.

Smokey Eye

It wouldn’t be a story on eye shadow if I didn’t do a smokey eye. For this smokey eye I decided to do an elongated wing eyeliner look. This is generally difficult, but I finally found a liquid liner that I can easily maneuver and it’s surprisingly by TopShop!
