With the change of season comes an update to my skincare routine. As the weather shifts, so do my skin’s needs. Recently I came across a new Australian beauty brand that’s been making quite the buzz stateside, Edible Beauty. What struck me first was of course the name of the brand — “Edible” is a pretty big proclamation. A number of brand’s these days are (thankfully) wisening up and becoming cruelty free by embracing all natural ingredients. However, I didn’t think there would be many brands touting the notion that they are also good enough to eat. I mean, how effective could the products be? Fortunately, Edible Beauty showed me just how possible that is and through luxurious products at that.
With a philosophy based on illuminating one’s natural beauty, I knew that it was brand I could get down with. Edible Beauty was developed by Naturopath and Nutritionist Anna Mitsios, who believes in using food and herbs to maintain a youthful glow. The brand pledges that each and every one of their products is literally good enough to eat. They contain no ingredients that wouldn’t also be safe enough to enter your mouth. With that said, although you can eat their products, I don’t think you should — get a snack, sis. Ha!
I had the opportunity to try a number of products from the brand, and they’ve been dominating my current skincare routine ever since. With the warmer weather, I like a cleanser that helps balance the amount of oil my face produces. Their No.1 Belle Frais Cleansing Milk ($41) does just that. Made with Coconut Oil, it helps to fully wash away makeup that even remover wipes miss, and from there cleanses impurities on the skin. It is also infused with apple extract, which helps naturally brighten the skin, and strawberry enzymes to boost the skin’s natural radiance. It is also great for all skin-types. Not just us oily folks.
I follow the cleanser with their No.3 Exotic Goddess Ageless Serum ($55) and & Gold Rush Eye Balm ($63). Now that I’m in my late twenties, serums and eye creams have been a must for me. They’re necessary in maintaining my skin’s radiance and preventing any fine lines or dark marks. The Edible Beauty Exotic Goddess Ageless Serum is the perfect product for boosting the skin’s appearance. It plumps using Hyalouronic Acid and Beta Glucan, then firms with Kakadu, Davidson Plum and Edelweiss, which are filled with antioxidants.
Their Gold Rush Eye Balm helps get rid of that under eye puffiness. It is fully equip with Coffee Extract, Cucumber Oil and botanical Horsetail Extract to rejuvenate and further de-puff. What I love about this balm is that it’s also infused with edible 24K gold flakes that help add to this glow.
To finish off my routine I swipe on the & Coco Bliss Intensive Repair Cream ($43). This multi-use cream is great for nourishing the skin all day or all night long. Packed with powerful botanical antioxidants and nutrients, this cream intensly moisturizes the skin. It uses Shea and Cocoa Butter to enhance the skin’s natural collagen production. Vitamin’s B, E and C reduce redness, enhance the skin’s natural healing ability and brightens the skin for a youthful glow. I can honestly say my skin feels so supple and extremely hydrated after each use.
Earlier this year Edible Beauty launched exclusively at Sephora. So you can pick these products up at your local retailer. If online shopping is more your jam, check out their website where you can get 20% off using my code at check-out: AISHA20. It’s definitely worth the splurge!
