On my blog, I cover so many different beauty and wellness brands, but I have to admit that my favorites are generally up-and-coming or startup companies. Especially those run by women. I was recently contacted by the founder of Jen’s Happy Mail to try her service and it really brightened my week. So I, of course, had to highlight it today to kick off Women’s History Month.
What really resonated with me was Jen’s story. Similar to myself and some of you who read my blog, Jen mentions having gone through bouts of anxiety and depression in her life. So she knows first hand how alone one can feel in these moments, which led her to start Jen’s Happy Mail. A uniquely curated subscription/gift box service of uplifting and inspirational products.
Now, I’ve seen a few different types of self-care subscription boxes, however, most of them contain solely beauty items. Jen’s Happy Mail on the other hand actually includes products meant to endear the recipient. I was pleasantly surprised when I took a look through the contents of my box–it’s as if she knows me.
Of the items I received, these are my favorites: A beautiful journal with the quote “Not ’til we are lost do we begin to find ourselves.” This quote alone made me fall in love because it really speaks to my personal self-care journey. A chic mug with the word “Believe” escribed on it. A deliciously scented Australian Bamboo Grass candle, which is perfect for my desk. And the “Good Days Start With Gratitude” journal, which I have actually wanted for a while now–my current gratitude journal is on it’s last few pages!
With Jen’s Happy Mail, you have the option to send one of her pre-made individual boxes, which range in price from $24.50 to $115.99, or you can create your own. If you’d like to get the boxes for yourself, you can opt for a subscription, which is $41 per month. And I can attest to the fact that you definitely get the bang for your buck.
Though the holidays and Valentine’s Day may be over, I see Jen’s Happy Mail as a great “just because” gift for a friend who you haven’t seen in a while or who may be going through a rough patch. Also, I’d say why not treat yourself to a package or monthly subscription–we all could use a little (or a lot) of self-love!
