I love the summer. I love the amazing weather, the beach, travel, the barely-there outfits. What I don’t like, however, is my bikini line. I’ve been shaving or using hair removal creams down there for a majority of my life, with a few waxing visits sprinkled in between. Let’s face it, waxing is not only expensive, but it’s painful. So, I’ve tried to avoid it by doing my own at home hair removal process. This has been better on my pockets, but it’s left me with a number of ingrown hairs, bumps, and scars that I’m not really fond of. Every summer I say I’m going to buckle down and fix this, and finally, I did. While reading an article on InStyle.com I came across a brand called PFB Vanish that they mentioned was one of the best when it comes to treating your bikini line.
After doing some research I saw that PFB Vanish has a range of products meant to correct and heal the skin. Whether that’s the bikini area, underarms, nape of the neck, legs, chest, or back. They cover everything from ingrown hairs, razor bumps, to cellulite, and discoloration. So, I had to give it a try. Of their product offering, I got the PFB Vanish Ultra ($23), and PFB Bikini Mask ($29).
The PFB Vanish Ultra is a triple action post hair removal serum that helps to remove and prevent ingrown hairs, razor bumps, and dark spots that come from hair removal. You simply apply it once or twice a day onto the area that needs treatment, in my case I did the bikini line. I’d do this out of the shower and/or before bed. The first time I used it was after shaving, so there was definitely some stinging. Fortunately, it went away after three seconds, literally. From there, it didn’t sting again with any other application whether I’d just shaved or not, which I’m grateful for.
What’s also great about this product is that it comes in a roll-on form, so there’s no mess. So what I’d do is glide it over the area I wanted to treat and let it air dry. Directly after shaving, I also use the PFB Bikini Mask, which helps to soothe the skin and prevent any bumps or ingrown hair from forming. The mask is a cream solution so I’d spread it over the area and leave it on to absorb.
Now, for the results. Long story short, it’s actually working!! After about two weeks of usage, I started to notice some change, and in four weeks saw a drastic difference. The dark marks cleared up, the skin on my bikini line was much smoother and had zero bumps or ingrown hairs.
Two main ingredients in the PFB Vanish Ultra are salicylic acid and glycolic acid, which are great at preventing and treating ingrown hairs. They penetrate deeper into the pores to dislodge the paste-like combination of dead skin buildup and oil, resulting in fewer blockages. So, due to these properties, I did experience some peeling throughout the process. When that happened I moved my usage to once a day, which helped lessen it. But I honestly didn’t mind it since it was getting the job done!
As you can see from the photos, PFB Vanish is the truth and I know my bikini line is going to be cleared up in no time. I highly recommend their products!
Here’s a video of me going into more detail on my experience with PFB Vanish and how to avoid getting ingrown hairs in the first place:

Hi!
I am using the chromabright + by pfb and i’m wondering what I should do about the dark hue that it’a left me on my bikini line. Should I just keep exfoliating and over time will it go away? My ingrown hairs has reduced but I don’t like the dark hue it has. I see that it’s a lot dead skin also. Thank you in advance ❤️
I’m wondering the same thing, Elyana. I noticed my skin getting darker so I stopped using it, should I continue?
Hi Nae!
I had the same issue and when I reached out to the brand I realized that I had made a mistake when applying it. I was applying it too thick and also using it too frequently. Be sure to just swipe it on once and use every other day. If you are currently seeing some darkness, stop for about two weeks and then start back up again. Here are full instructions:
Apply
PFB Vanish, PFB+Chromabright and Ultra roll-on exactly as directed below.
Start
by applying every other day only.
Cleanse
your skin with warm water using your fingertips, then rinse thoroughly and blot dry. Don’t scrub or rub dry with a towel.
Wait
a full 10 minutes, then apply the Roll-On sparingly as directed below, in the absence
of irritation.
Swipe
only once onto the affected area, then massage into the skin until gel is fully absorbed.
Wait
ten minutes after application, then proceed.
On
the face, neck and scalp: Apply a moisturizer like Lumen8 Lotion, which will help
brighten the skin tone. Wait 10 minutes, then apply a full-spectrum SPF30+ sunscreen during the day. Reapply often when exposed to continuous sun.
On
the body: Apply a moisturizer like Lumen8 Lotion, which will help brighten the skin
tone. Lumen8 Lotion can be used twice daily. Apply a full-spectrum SPF30+ sunscreen to all exposed skin during the day. Reapply often when exposed to continuous sun.
On
the underarms: Wait for gel to dry 100%, then apply a fragrance-free anti-perspirant
or deodorant.
Note:
Hydrocortisone cream may be used if itching, inflamed razor bumps and/or ingrown hairs are present. The Roll-Ons begins to clear razor bumps and ingrown hairs within 24 hours.
PRECAUTIONS
For
best results, and to prevent irritation, excessive dryness, and rebound darkening,
see below.
Apply
the Roll-Ons exactly as directed, in small amounts, massaged into the skin in the absence of irritation.
Don’t
roll product onto the skin in a back and forth motion to create a thicker coat. Thick
coats can cause stinging, redness, excessive dryness, peeling and skin discoloration.
Mild flaking is normal. Don’t attempt to scrub off flaking skin.
Don’t
forget to massage gel all the way into the skin.
Don’t
apply more often than directed.
Don’t
apply to irritated or broken skin.
Don’t
use PFB Vanish, PFB+Chromabright or PFB Ultra if pregnant or nursing.
Exfoliation:
PFB Vanish, PFB+Chromabright and PFB Ultra contains exfoliants, so additional exfoliation in unnecessary and may contribute to unwanted side effects.
If
you wax or sugar, use cool to warm temperatures only. Don’t use hot wax!
If
you shave with a blade, be gentle, use a clean blade, and replace after 1-2 uses.
Skin
brightening products are ‘tyrosinase inhibitors’ which help shut down the over-production
of melanin on skin that’s been compromised by inflammation, shaving irritation, sun exposure, friction, trauma and/or product overuse. They must be used as directed on a consistent basis to be effective.
UV
Protection: It’s imperative to apply full-spectrum SPF30+ sunscreen to all exposed
skin during the day. Reapply often when exposed to continuous sun. Don’t be fooled by overcast skies.

Which Pfb do I get for dark spot and ingrown hairs ?
How do you apply to the pfb vanish on your bikini area? Do you swipe the bikini lines seperate with the pfb vanish. An then the vagina?
Hi so I started using it by after a week it started peeling but my line is a bit bright and some of my dark spots are still dark and I don’t know what to do… I don’t know if I applied it wrong or if that’s how it is.
