I’ll be the first to say it, I hate bras. They’re either too tight, leave a gap in the front, show through my clothes…the list goes on. So, when it came to online shopping for a bra, let’s just say I was extremely skeptical. If I couldn’t find my fit in stores, how would I on the internet? Well, thankfully–True & Co. proved me wrong.
True & Co. is a woman run and operated intimate apparel brand that is dedicated to making better bras based on the feedback received from their community. I’m sure you’ve heard of a few recently that have popped up like them, but True & Co., was actually the first to offer the “Fit Quiz”.
Using data from over five million women, the Fit Quiz is supposed to make the process of shopping for a bra as pain-free as possible. It asks questions about the bras you currently own to get a sense of where the issues are, i.e. “How are your shoulder straps?” Slipping off/sliding, digging in, etc… It asks about your breast shape, how they rest in your bra, whether you prefer padding and so forth.
What stood out to me about the quiz was that they actually had a few options for answers, and addressed issues that real women experience. Such as the difference in breast size (my left is bigger than my right), which is common amongst 40% of women. Also, the fact that all of our breasts sit the cups of bras differently, and our straps ride up in many different ways. So, skepticism definitely subsided as I went through the quiz.
In the end, it gave me a few options for different bras that may work for me, based on my answers. Of those that I was given, I decided to go with the True Body Triangle Convertible Strap Bra ($44) and True Weekend Cotton Stretch Triangle Bralette ($32), along with some matching panties.
I thought I’d like the bralette more (bralettes are my thing right now), but I was pleasantly surprised with just how perfect the True Body Triangle Convertible Strap Bra was, I have never gotten a bra with that much support that actually wasn’t fussy. It feels buttery smooth, with breathable fabric, and the color Cinnamon was actually the perfect shade of nude for my complexion. Just as the description says, “when you wear it, you’ll feel naked but better” and they were right! Not to mention the panties that go with it leave no lines whatsoever through my pants or dresses. Now that I’m doing a little modeling here and there, I always need to have a good set of nude undergarments and I’m so glad to have found some that not only match my skin tone but can be *comfortably* worn under anything.
True & Co. is definitely the real deal, my boobs have never been happier!
