One topic of discussion I’ve seen quite a bit amongst the beauty community these past few weeks is how we’re all going to maintain our manicures. Now, I don’t personally rock acrylics, but I do usually get a gel manicure every two weeks and I don’t have a gel light at home. So, this means I’d either need to ride the wave with my last set, or give myself a regular manicure.
I hit week 4 of this gel set a few days ago and my nails were looking particularly rough, and I knew it was time. I used to do my own manicures all the time, so I’m no stranger to the at-home treatment. And removing gel is a very delicate process that can potentially damage your nail beds if done incorrectly. I’m a firm believer in the fact that gel manicures don’t ruin nails, a faulty removal process does. Given that so many people are in the same boat right now, I decided to put together a video on how to safely remove gel nail polish, so that we’re all out here flourishing until we can head back to the salons.
In this video, I highlight from start to finish how I safely remove gel nail polish, and then break down my regular at-home manicure process. I also showcase the colors from OPI‘s latest collection for spring, Neo Pearl, which dropped earlier this week.
Hope you enjoy!
