It’s no secret that your girl is getting married this September–I talk about it every chance I get! And rightfully so, given the year we’ve all had. It’s important to hold onto the things we can actually look forward to.
As I plan for my upcoming nuptials, each detail of the big day is slowly but surely coming into place. But there’s one item I’m still having a hard time making a decision on, how I’ll style my hair. Since I’ll be getting married overseas, I plan on doing my own hair for my wedding day, which I’m not too worried about. It’s just narrowing down the exact style that has me concerned.
So, I’ve been saving a ton of inspiration, and in doing so figured I wasn’t the only person who needed a little help. Here are some of the wedding day styles for natural hair that I’ve come across and love the most:
Accessorize
Accessories are a simple way to dress up hairstyles that are a little more low maintenance. For those of us who love a good twist out or wash and go, adding in the right clip or complementary set of florals can really enhance your style and help you stay true to your signature look.

Try an Updo
If your dress has a majority of detail at the top, or you’re looking for a sleek elongated look, an updo is a great way to ensure your natural beauty shines through.

(Safely) Press or Stretch Your Curls
If you’re interested in elongating your curls and aren’t getting married during a time in which it’s humid, pressed or stretched styles are a great way to add some uniqueness to your look. Especially if you’re someone who doesn’t press their hair often.
