Friends, let’s talk about my brows and why they always look so good
Let me just say I am a product of the over waxing, plucking, threading generation. And a few years ago I was fed up with how thin my brows started to look, so I stopped everything altogether.
Sadly, this didn’t help my brows grow back the way I’d hoped. So, last year, I decided to pull the trigger and get my brows microbladed by the amazing Krystal who owns Browstress. And it was one of the best beauty investments I’ve made!
If you don’t already know, microblading your brows is the process of inserting pigment under your skin using a needle to give you well-defined, natural-looking eyebrows that last for a year or sometimes more!
Now, I love how my brows look, but I noticed that my natural brow hairs were always curling downward and I had to constantly brush them up to blend.
Until I discovered the process of brow lamination, which I feel is the ideal complement to microblading. Brow lamination is essentially the “perming” of your eyebrow hairs to provide a fuller, more even look by keeping them in place.
My lovely lash artist Liz of Two Zero One Salon here in New Jersey started doing brow lamination a few months ago and I decided to get it done. Now, I’ll never look back! I mean, how good do they look? She kills it every single time!
I also want to note that even if you don’t have microblading, I still highly recommend getting your brows laminated and tinted. Thank me later! Here’s a video of how it all goes down:
