A Soft Christmas: How I’m Slowing Down This Year
This Christmas, I’m choosing softness.
Less rushing. Less pressure. Less expectation that the day needs to look a certain way to be meaningful.
I’ve realized that the most sacred moments don’t announce themselves — they happen quietly. A shared meal. A deep breath. A pause.
This year, slowing down looks like:
Letting the morning unfold naturally
Not overcommitting socially
Being present instead of productive
If this season feels heavy for you — or lonely, or complicated — I want you to know there’s no right way to experience it. You don’t owe anyone cheer. You don’t need to force joy.
Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is meet ourselves exactly where we are.
Wherever you are today, I hope you’re gentle with yourself.
