Spiced Apple Cider Recipe for Fall
The fall season is finally upon us! And now that we’re nestling in, it’s time to experiment with new, delicious, and cozy recipes to really set the vibe.
Here’s an easy and delicious Spiced Apple Cider recipe that’s unlike your typical apple cider.
I chose to make a batch instead of individual drinks because that way you can easily pull it out of the fridge and sip on it whenever you’re in the mood or when you have guests over.
I made mine without alcohol because, well, pregnancy ha! But if I *was* drinking, I’d absolutely suggest mixing this with some rum or bourbon. I know that’s what my husband and mom plan on doing!
Ingredients:
Spiced Brown Sugar Syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup brown sugar
3 tsp cinnamon
1.5 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp allspice
Spiced Apple Cider:
6 cups apple cider (I got one that already said spiced on the label)
1.5 cups orange juice
1 or 1.5 cups spiced brown sugar syrup (more or less depending on how sweet you’d like it)
Garnish:
Apple slices
Rosemary
Cinnamon sticks
Cinnamon Sugar
Directions:
On the stovetop, bring water, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground ginger, and allspice to a boil. Stirring consistently for 2 - 3 minutes.
Take off the heat and using a strainer, strain syrup mixture into a glass container. Put it in the fridge and allow it to cool fully.
Slice apples, and then add the apple cider, orange juice, and spiced brown sugar into a pitcher. Stir to combine.
You can pour it over ice if you’d like, combine it with alcohol, or enjoy it on its own.
Garnish with an apple slice, cinnamon stick, and a small spring of rosemary. Enjoy!
